This article covers how you can use Zapier to automatically add new members that sign up with Outseta to specific spaces within your Circle community.
Prerequisite
Once you've connected your Circle.so community and Outseta, follow the steps below to setup the zap that will add new subscribers to the appropriate spaces in Circle based on their subscription plan in Outseta.
Configure your Zap to add members to spaces in Circle
This four step Zap—follow the steps outlined below, or you can watch the video tutorial.
Trigger—Account Added in Outseta
This Zap begins with the trigger of Account Added in Outseta
Steps 2 + 3 - Choose Zapier's Path Action
The second and third steps of your Zap will use Zapier's Path option.
Once selected, you'll see a diagram showing both "Path A" and "Path B." You can delete "Path B" for now—we'll just be working with "Path A" in this example.
Click on Path Rules.
In this example we're going to tell Zapier to only continue running the Zap if the Subscription Plan Name that was passed by the Account Added in Outseta step contained Starter (the name of your subscription plan in this example).
Where it says "Only Continue if..." you'll want to enter:
- Choose Field: Subscription Plan Name
- Choose Condition: (Text) Contains
- Enter Text: Starter
The Zap will now only continue if the an account is added that has the Starter subscription.
Step 4 - Add member to Circle
The final step in your Zap will add members who have the Starter subscription in Outseta to specific spaces in Circle.
Enter the user's email address (from Outseta) and the name of the Circle community that you want to invite them to in the required fields.
Also add the "Spaces" or "Space Groups" in Circle that you'd like to give the member access to. In this example, the user is being granted access to Space 2.
Important: Enter True in the "Skip Invitation Email?" field.
Click continue and test your Zap. That's it, you're done! Don't forget to turn your Zap on.
You can test this end to end by signing up on your website and seeing that they newly created account can access the appropriate spaces in Circle based on their subscription plan.
